In a rapidly changing world, the global community must act now to prevent climate change, conserve natural resources and help everyone live well within the limits of the planet.
As a major greeting cards publisher, we’re committed to doing everything we can to support the United Nations-led push for a fairer, sustainable future for everyone. We know that our customers want to know more about the story behind our cards. And we’re passionate about making a positive impact – taking action that’s good for the environment and smart for our business while caring for our people and the communities where we work and live. This means helping our industry in re-thinking the way we make and produce cards, how our customers recycle their used greeting card and how consumers use and recycle our products.
Through our sustainability strategy, we stand to make a positive impact on 10 of the UN’s 17 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and guiding us on this mission are our core values of creativity, collaboration, innovation, people and success.
The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice.
John Sands believes it is important to take a leading role in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is essential for our industry to transition away from practices that undermine the goals’ achievement and instead to proactively create solutions to resolve today’s existing and future challenges.
